The Pioneer DJ DDJ-REV1 is a 2-channel controller built for DJs who want to explore battle-style mixing and scratching using Serato DJ Lite. Its layout is modeled after a professional DJM-S mixer and PLX turntable setup, offering a familiar configuration for open-format and scratch techniques.
For the first time on a Pioneer DJ controller, the tempo sliders are positioned horizontally across the top of the deck sections to reflect a battle configuration. The 60mm sliders offer extended control compared to the DDJ-SB3. Performance Pads and Lever FX paddles are located in the mixer section, allowing intuitive access to effects, samples, and scratch tools.
The jog wheels are the same size as those found on the DDJ-SR2, giving DJs more surface area for scratch techniques. The Tracking Scratch feature helps return the track to its cue point automatically when the jog wheel is moved backward or released, simplifying scratch practice without removing the need to develop technique.
The DDJ-REV1 also supports Deck 3/4 Control within Serato DJ Lite, allowing DJs to access all four decks in the software.
For livestreaming, the controller integrates microphone audio directly into the master output sent to Serato DJ Lite. This removes the need for an external soundcard or mixer when adding vocals or speech to a stream.
