Visual Productions RdmSplitter with RJ45

A safe, optically isolated splitter/booster for DMX and RDM networks, the Visual Productions RdmSplitter with RJ45 allows a star-topology for efficient cable usage. Unlike traditional DMX, which supports 32 devices, the RdmSplitter will support up to 64. The RdmSplitter requires fixtures to be connected in bus-topology, having one cable running via each device.

Extends the DMX Network

The widespread data protocol for lighting equipment is DMX-512, a very successful protocol with some limitations. The maximum number of attached devices is limited to 32, and a DMX cable should not be longer than 984'. The RdmSplitter helps tackle those inconvenient limitations by taking a DMX signal and sending it out again on its six DMX output ports. Each output port is capable of driving 32 more devices. The RdmSplitter can also function as a signal booster as each port supports another 984' long connection.

Makes Cable Runs Easier

DMX usually requires fixtures to be connected in bus-topology, with one cable running via each device. The RdmSplitter allows a star-topology for efficient cable usage.

Prevents Ground Loops

The DMX output ports are protected through optical isolation, safeguarding the splitter and its connected equipment against power surges and dangerous ground loops.

Receives Fixture Feedback

The RdmSplitter supports RDM communication, the protocol that allows your fixtures to send feedback information to the lighting controller via the DMX cable.

Saves Time

This RdmSplitter version with RJ45 connectors can save time when working with LED drivers that are also fitted with RJ-45 connectors.
