Description
Designed for accurate sound reproduction, the Tannoy VQ 64MH is a passive 2-way mid-high loudspeaker with a dual concentric design that offers high output and optimal phase coherence for high-performance installation applications. The VQ 64MH's output produces extremely powerful audio signals with class-leading pattern control. The 60x40° dispersion allows installations of tightly packed point-source clusters for wide coverage while maintaining the venue's aesthetics and sight lines.
The VQ 64MH has a 200W continuous (800W peak) power handling. The dual concentric 3.5" and 1.75" diaphragm compression drivers provide clear mid- and high-frequency reproduction. The maximum SPL is a massive 144 dB peak, plenty of volume to cover hundreds of patrons. The VQ 64MH can be configured for use in single-amp or bi-amp mode, in conjunction with A Lake LM26/44 digital signal processor (DSP), Lab Gruppen PLM+, or D-series platforms.

Exceptional Sound and Reliability
- Performance of the VQ 64MH in terms of accuracy and sound quality is second to none. The VQ horn design principles provide definitive and measurable advantages over multiple-horn and coaxial designs.
- The VQ 64MH incorporates unique driver technology to radiate a coherent single point source for superior dispersion control when coupled to a PSW (Point Source Waveguide). This advanced design aligns the acoustical centers of the transducers providing a single coherent wavefront emanating from the throat.
- The PSW waveguide achieves an optimum balance of extremely well-controlled coverage, smooth frequency response, and natural sound character.
- The low-frequency section offers high power handling and low power compression for high continuous SPL capability.
