Description
The Shure SLXD5+ is a single-channel portable digital wireless receiver designed for on-camera mounting and audio-bag workflows in broadcast, film, videography, and field production environments. When combined with a separately available SLXD1+ bodypack, SLXD2+ handheld, or SLXD3+ plug-on transmitter, it delivers transparent digital audio, wideband RF performance, and automated wireless management in a compact, mobile form factor optimized for location sound.
Camera-Mount and Audio-Bag Ready Design
Designed for cold-shoe mounting or audio-bag use, the SLXD5+ provides a streamlined solution for mobile recording setups. Dual 3.5mm outputs include a dedicated headphone monitoring output and a switchable mic/line output, allowing direct connection to cameras, portable recorders, and mixers without additional adapters.
Transparent Digital Audio and RF Performance
The SLXD5+ delivers transparent 24-bit digital audio with greater than 118 dB of dynamic range for clean, accurate sound reproduction. A wide 138 MHz tuning range (regionally dependent) provides expanded geographical coverage and simplified frequency coordination. The receiver supports up to 11 simultaneous systems per 6 MHz TV band and up to 14 systems per 8 MHz TV band.
ShowLink Ease Automated Wireless Management
ShowLink Ease enables real-time two-way communication between the SLXD5+ receiver and paired SLX-D+ transmitters. Once linked, transmitters remain synchronized with the receiver across power cycles and RF changes. Users can remotely change transmitter frequency, adjust gain, lock or unlock controls, deploy interference mitigation, and perform over-the-air firmware updates directly from the receiver or a paired mobile device.
Multi-Mic Mode and Advanced Monitoring
Multi-Mic Mode allows users to scan and sync multiple clean frequencies via IR and monitor multiple sources from a single receiver. User-configurable front-panel controls provide flexible monitoring and quick access to key parameters in fast-paced production environments.
Wireless Workbench Desktop and Mobile Control
The SLXD5+ integrates with Shure Wireless Workbench desktop software and the Wireless Workbench Mobile app for system monitoring and control over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Users can scan for open frequencies, monitor RF status, and manage receiver and transmitter parameters from a centralized interface.
Integrated Digital Feedback Reduction
Patented Shure Digital Feedback Reduction (DFR) software is embedded directly into the SLXD5+. DFR automatically detects and suppresses feedback using dynamic notch filters, improving clarity and stability when wireless microphones are used near loudspeakers or in challenging acoustic environments.
Secure Operation and Flexible Power
AES-256 encryption is standard on the SLXD5+ for secure wireless transmission. The receiver operates for up to 5.5 hours using two AA batteries or optional Shure SB903 lithium-ion rechargeable batteries, with compatibility for Shure charging accessories (available separately).
