The Shure SLXD2+ is a professional digital wireless handheld microphone transmitter designed for use with Shure SLX-D+ receivers. Ideal for live performance, installed sound, and houses of worship, it delivers transparent digital audio, secure RF performance, and advanced remote control capabilities in a rugged aluminum, stage-ready form factor with a backlit LCD screen for important information. This version is equipped with a Beta 87A supercardioid condenser mic capsule.

In addition to offering a wide 117 dB dynamic range, the Beta 87A electret-condenser microphone capsule handles SPL levels up to 140 dB and offers a smooth frequency response with a gradual presence rise and controlled proximity effect tailored for vocals. Its supercardioid pickup pattern helps isolate the voice from unwanted background noise, providing superior gain before feedback.

Transparent Digital Audio and Expanded RF Performance

When paired with an SLX-D+ receiver, the SLXD2+ delivers transparent 24-bit digital audio with greater than 118 dB of dynamic range. A wide tuning bandwidth of up to 138 MHz (regionally dependent) supports flexible frequency coordination and reliable operation across a wide range of venues. The platform supports high channel counts in dense RF environments, making it suitable for scalable wireless deployments.

ShowLink Ease Remote Transmitter Control

ShowLink Ease enables real-time, two-way communication between the SLXD2+ transmitter and a compatible SLX-D+ receiver using BLE transmission. Once linked, the transmitter automatically follows receiver frequency changes across power cycles. Engineers can remotely adjust frequency, RF power, and control locks, apply interference mitigation, and perform over-air firmware updates without handling the microphone or requiring an IP network.

Interchangeable Capsule Design

The SLXD2+ features an interchangeable capsule design, allowing users to tailor the microphone to specific applications. In addition to the included Beta 87A, compatible Shure capsules include the Beta 58A, SM58, KSM8, Nexadyne 8/S, and Nexadyne 8/C, offering a range of pickup patterns and sonic characteristics.

Secure Operation and Flexible Power Options

The SLXD2+ supports AES-256 encryption for secure wireless transmission. It operates for up to 8 hours using two AA batteries, with support for optional Shure SB903 lithium-ion rechargeable batteries. When used with compatible Shure charging accessories (available separately), rechargeable batteries provide precise runtime readouts in hours and minutes directly on the transmitter display.
