Description
The PreSonus Central Station PLUS is a professional, audiophile-quality, passive monitor controller with a desktop remote well suited for commercial studios, project studios, and broadcast environments. The Central Station is designed to ensure a true transparent signal path and maximizes dynamic range, frequency response, and headroom while minimizing noise and coloration. The controller uses high-quality, passive components (no op-amps or ICs), including military-grade, 1% tolerance, metal-film resistors, multi-element potentiometers, and durable connectors to deliver professional sonic performance. The 1 RU enclosure houses controls for three sets of monitors, two high-gain headphone outputs, a built-in talkback mic, four sets of inputs, assignable cue and main outputs, and a precision dual 30-segment LED display with peak hold functionality.
The rear panel offers two sets of 1/4" TRS inputs, as well as a set of RCA aux inputs. The Central Station PLUS also offers 24-bit/192 kHz digital inputs with TOSLINK and SPDIF connectors. There are two sets of 1/4" line outputs (Cue and Main) and three sets of 1/4" speaker outputs (A, B & C). Each speaker output features their own set of trim controls for setting levels and calibrating the loudness and balance of each monitor. The talkback mic section features an XLR input for using your own dynamic microphone and a pedal input for hands-free talkback engagement.
The included CSR-1 Central Station Remote is a desktop controller, which provides analog/digital input select, volume control, and speaker select. There are controls for mute, dim, and mono, as well as an additional built-in talkback microphone with its own level control and engagement switch. The PreSonus Central Station Plus ships with a 12' CSR-1 remote cable and a power supply.
