At just 136 grams (excluding the cable), they are engineered to minimize strain on the head, neck, and shoulders during extended performances. The stainless steel headband features a ladder-like structure that improves flexibility and durability while helping you achieve a secure fit.
Equipped with 35 mm drivers and a PEEK-PU-PEEK composite diaphragm, the HDJ-CX provides a frequency response of 5 Hz to 30 kHz. This allows DJs to clearly monitor kick drums, snares, hi-hats, and low-end detail for accurate cueing and mixing. The housings incorporate bass reflex chambers to enhance low-frequency response, while sound insulators help improve isolation in loud booth environments.
Despite their lightweight construction, the HDJ-CX headphones are designed for reliability. The headband includes a steel core for added strength, and the entire unit has passed demanding durability testing, including the US Military Standard MIL-STD-810H shock test.
Two detachable cables—a straight cable and a coiled cable—are included, allowing you to configure the setup based on your workflow. A clip-on adapter holder keeps the 1/4" plug secure and accessible, and replacement ear pads are included for long-term maintenance.
