The DJS-1000 is a standalone DJ sampler designed to expand creative possibilities in live performance environments. It allows DJs to build, sequence, and remix sounds in advance or on the fly, using a DJ-focused interface that fits naturally alongside NXS and XDJ setups.

At the center of the unit is a 7-inch full-color touchscreen that provides access to projects, sequencing, sampling, effects, and track mixing. The sampler features 16 tracks for loops, one-shots, and sound effects, each running a real-time time-stretch engine for accurate synchronization during performance.

Hands-on control is delivered through 16 multicolored step input keys for pattern creation and 16 multicolored performance pads for triggering samples. Velocity Mode allows dynamic control over sample volume, while the touch strip enables pitch bends, drum rolls via Note Repeat, and parameter customization.

The DJS-1000 supports live sampling, allowing incoming audio to be captured and immediately used as a synchronized track. Accurate timing is maintained through Pro DJ Link Beat Sync with compatible CDJ and XDJ players, or manually using the tempo slider and nudge controls.

Connectivity includes analog inputs and outputs, stereo RCA outputs, MIDI I/O, USB ports for storage and computer connection, and LAN for Pro DJ Link. Projects can also be created offline using DJS-TSP Project Creator software, and files created on the TORAIZ SP-16 are fully compatible.
