Ortofon OM-5S OM SINGLE Overview
The Ortofon OM 5S is a low-mass moving magnet cartridge with a spherical stylus, well suited for music lovers and Hi-Fi enthusiasts. The cartridge body has been designed to provide easy mounting and alignment on both top-mount and bottom-mount headshells.
A tiny, removable weight-plate is tucked into the mounting bracket for use with standard tonearms. Or, you can remove it for a lower-mass tonearm, reducing the weight of the cartridge to a mere 2.5 g. Made from a plastic and glass compound, the OM 5S enclosure is lightweight and ensures high rigidity with freedom from resonance. Its computer-modeled design improves linearity, makes for higher channel separation, and reduces distortion.
