Description
The VNET USB RS232 is a rackmountable interface for connecting a Windows PC running VNET Software to any VNET loudspeaker network. Capable of driving a network span up to 1 km and 50 devices, the VNET USB RS232 provides the PC user with complete control, tuning and diagnostics of all devices on the network. Connectivity to a Windows PC or laptop is simple and cost-effective using USB or RS232 serial cabling, with interconnections between VNET devices via Cat5 cables and RJ45 connectors. The rugged steel enclosure and Ethercon connectors ensure the VNET USB RS232 will provide a long lifetime of reliable service.
Connectivity
When connected to a PC via USB, the interface receives power directly from the computer’s USB port. Serial (RS232) implementation requires the optional VNET INTERFACE POWER SUPPLY (available separately), which can provide power for 2 interfaces. The VNET INTERFACE RACK MOUNT provides the ideal solution for up to 3 devices to be housed in a standard 1U 19" bay. VNET USB RS232’s ultra-compact footprint fits perfectly into standalone desktop/portable applications, where it can be used in close proximity to a desktop PC or laptop.
Software Support
The VNET USB RS232 comes with a USB cable and dedicated VNET Software installation disc for your Windows PC. We continue to add even more functionality and versatility to the software suite, so please check frequently for free updates on our Downloads webpage.
