When your large venue requires high-impact sound reinforcement over longer throw distances than traditional loudspeakers, look to the VLA901i from JBL, a passive three-way full-range loudspeaker that, like all members of the innovative VLA series, sports advanced transducer technology for low weight and high output. The VLA901i is optimized for use in permanently installed line array systems and features two potent 15" low-frequency drivers, two 8" mid-frequency drivers, and three high-frequency compression drivers with a 1.5" throat exit.
The 90° horizontal coverage of the VLA901i is ideal for providing large crowds with consistent sound beaming and minimal interference when building up your array. The max total power handling of the system is 1860W peak, giving you plenty of headroom for your external amps. This loudspeaker is designed to handle the versatility needed from a high-performance sound system in virtually any venue—with a rugged DuraFlex finish, weatherized transducer components, a durable IPx3 and Mil-Std 810 rating for any indoor or outdoor application, and multiple M10 threaded rigging points on every side of the loudspeaker, so you can build your line array the way you want.
