Extended Low-Frequency Bass Performance
To significantly extend low-frequency bass performance of the Control 400 Enhanced Coverage Series, the Control C419CS/T features an 8" woofer and two large, tapered ports for warm, smooth bass response. For simple integration with full-range speakers, including Control 400 full-range models, a built-in passive low-pass filter is included.
8-Ohm Operation and Multitap Transformer
The direct input’s 8-ohm impedance allows paralleling of up to 2 speakers on a 4-ohm-rated amplifier channel (at the 8-ohm impedance setting), for maximum low-frequency extension and output. For contribute systems, the special subwoofer-band transformer is designed for exceptionally low saturation even at high drive levels, providing a top-quality, low-distortion sound character.
8" Woofer Driver
The 8" driver features a large 1.5" copper voice coil on a fiberglass voice coil former for high power handling, low distortion, and long-term reliability. The driver is designed for durability, and built-in protection circuitry helps to prevent damage from occasional overload.
Configurations
The Control 419CS/T can be connected into a system in a number of configurations: in parallel with full-range speakers to take advantage of the subwoofer’s built-in passive low-pass filter, resulting in a bass overlap configuration; or with an external DSP low passing the subwoofer and driving the subwoofers from a separate amplifier channel; or with an external high-pass filter to the full-range speakers, resulting in a full 2-way active crossover.
Efficient and Flexible Installation
Various Control 400 Enhanced Coverage Series mounting enhancements improve installation repeatability and safety while reducing installation time. Redesigned terminal covers provide both top and side cable entry ports and can be secured without tools thanks to captive hand screws. The captive dog-ear design is extremely reliable and works with a wide range of ceiling thicknesses.

Full-face magnetic grilles provide a sleek, refined look to meet the sensibilities of modern architectural design. They are equipped with safety tethers, which mount right into the baffle to ensure peace of mind. Optional black and square accessory grilles are also available to empower added design versatility.
