SoundCloud on the verge of a slow extinction?

Let me give you guys a little back story to my first clash with copyrights. I decided to remix a track, that was about 2 days old. I heard it and had to make a remix. After 1 day my plays were at about 15k and downloads were maxed out. This had been my greatest hit thus far. Waking up the next morning to a notice from Soundcloud was unexpected, but this only foreshadowed events for the future. It seems that major labels are beginning to pick away at independent artists and even some Major acts on Soundcloud. Ever since Kaskade had his Soundcloud Account deleted, I've been a little weary to post my full length mixes on the Cloud. His almost 1 Millions fans and years and years of hard work building his fan base on the cloud all came crashing down when Soundcloud decided to remove his Full length mixes due to copyright issues. He has not been the only artist to endure the pains of copyrights. What median will artists move to next. Will they create their own place like Deadmau5 has? Guess we will have to wait and see. This is painful for independent acts that are trying to reach their first 1,000 followers..
