Description
Build the perfect assortment of I/O for your application with the Allen & Heath DX32, a 96 kHz I/O expander for the dLive, Avantis, SQ, and AHM-64 mixing systems. The DX32 features four slots that are capable of supporting up to 32 inputs or outputs. The enclosure is easily set up by simply sliding in your choice of analog or digital modules into the available slots.
Choose between two types of 8-channel microphone preamps and two types of 8-channel analog outputs as well as AES inputs and outputs. The unit can be placed on the floor or rack mounted (4 RU) with the included rack ears. The Allen & Heath DX32 ships with a power cord.
Note: The DX32 is delivered without I/O. To use this product, you must purchase additional I/O modules.

Build Your Own I/O
Flexible Deployment
- The DX32 can be placed up to 328' away from the mixer for maximum flexibility of positioning, and includes rack ears for mounting in a 4 RU, 19" rack space.
- The expander connects via a single Cat 5e cable to the mixer via a secure EtherCON port. A second locking EtherCON port is provided for redundant connection to compatible hardware.
Built-In Redundancy
- The DX32 supports dual-cable connection to compatible mixers as well as DX Link and DX Hub.
- The second PSU port can be fitted with a redundant PSU, and power supplies are hot-swappable, so you never need to power down.
Optional I/O Modules
- Next-generation 8-input preamp design with DC coupled gain stage. Features 32-bit / 96 kHz ADC for class-leading conversion.
Analog Inputs
- 8 recallable preamps with XLR connectors for balanced or unbalanced microphone and line level signals. Gain, Pad, and 48V are digitally controlled within the preamp.
AES Inputs
- 4x stereo AES3 inputs on XLR with SRC (32 kHz, 192 kHz sampling rate). Sample Rate Conversion can be bypassed for 96 kHz operation.
PRIME Outputs
- Next-generation D-A 8-channel output card design using the very latest 32-bit converters and specially selected op amps for ultralow noise.
Analog Outputs
- 8 line level, balanced XLR outputs. The outputs are relay protected to prevent power on or off thumps.
AES Outputs
- Four stereo AES3 outputs on XLR (44.1, 48, 88.2, or 96 kHz switchable).
