The Merge Between SoundCloud and Label Heaveyweights might be true after all.

You might have heard or seen someone post the speculation that SoundCloud and major labels like Universal , Sony and Warner are having " talks". We'll it's true. Soundcloud has just signed on with entertainment publishers Sony/ATV and BMG. What does this mean for the Soundcloud service....we'll let me put it this way. Remember Youtube before ads? Okay good. Now you probably dread the new Youtube with ads right? Soundcloud is on the same path. Unfortunately there is nothing at the moment that we can do to stop the "merge". Advertisements are becoming a part of daily tech life and they are pretty much unavoidable at this point.....unless you pay . A subscription service is in the works as well, for advertisers trying to get their product on your podcast or maybe the artist page your exploring. Anyways, all I know if that I never wanted a commercial 30 minutes into my podcast, and I'm sure none of you want that either.

A look from a different perspective. This might allow unknown artists to get their much needed shed of light. Artists that you might not have discovered for the next years to come, can now be seen with a "advertised" icon on the right side column of the feed. All I want to know is how much this type of advertisement costs and if it's really worth it.

Do you think this is a good move for SoundCloud. Leave your comments below and let us know what you think!
