Soundcloud and Twitter potential Merge?

Word has spread that the social media giant Twitter is set to acquire the Online Music Streaming Giant SoundCloud . No bids have yet been revealed but I can imagine it won't be shy of Apple's offer to acquire Beats. So what does this mean for musicians and twitter users alike? Well, SoundCloud will potentially gain a wall, where users and artists can communicate with each other with out having to go back and fourth in message and comments. This makes the whole idea of reaching out and communicating to your fans that much easier. On the other hand this also makes it easier for the already popular spammers out there to get you to listen to their track or their latest bootleg etc..

Nonetheless this seems like great news for  social and music online communities. We think that the merge will grant access to more fans and allow the sharing time time be increased exponentially. Just think about it, hashtags, retweets, and shares on two platforms simultaneously? Sounds great if you ask me. Now, if they could only combine videos into this whirlwind.Now that sounds like a completely different platform, but don't get any ideas!
